We have two educational sessions for school visits available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Guided Tour of Sheffield Cathedral for Children

This is a 1-hour guided tour of Sheffield Cathedral created especially for children.

During the visit the children will be guided around Sheffield Cathedral, with a particular focus on the Cathedral's historical significance and the role it has played within Christianity.

Cost per child £1, adults free of charge.

St Michael’s Tour

This session can be a full or half day trip depending on your requirements. The sessions meet the Religious Education Curriculum syllabus Key Stage 1 A1, A3 and C3.

During the visit pupils will have the opportunity to discover the Cathedral’s interior, explore and learn about the holy space and place. The Cathedral is a perfect place for children to experience ‘awe and wonder’. The children will explore and learn the significance of the images of angels found in the cathedral. There will be a treasure trail explaining the stained glass windows and main features of the Cathedral building.

Activities include: designing your own stained glass window or make a golden angel.

Cost per child £3, adults free of charge.
Pupils and staff will need to bring a packed lunch if staying for the full day.
