The Archer Project works with people experiencing homelessness in Sheffield. The charity offers individuals the opportunity to progress away from day-to-day survival and exclusion to living meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Homelessness can include sleeping rough, sofa surfing, squatting, and living in unsuitable temporary accommodation like hostels and B&Bs.

The Archer Project is a place of safety and warmth, where people are welcomed and supported at every stage out of homelessness. This includes support with education, mental wellbeing and health care, a route back to work (with their very own social enterprises) and assistance towards permanent housing.

In 2024 alone, the charity supported 1,223 people served 24,445 meals and facilitated 205 therapeutic activities including animal therapy, abseiling, blackberry picking, and more.

What started as tea and toast served by members of the Cathedral congregation over 30 years ago has developed into a holistic service designed to help people experiencing homelessness to improve their lives.
