The Friends of Cathedral Music celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year. The organisation aims to safeguard the priceless heritage of cathedral music and support a living tradition.
It was founded at St Brides' Fleet Street and has grown to a membership of nearly 5,000. Many in Sheffield Diocese are already members of FCM and this year Sheffield Cathedral and St John's Ranmoor have been awarded major grants.
To celebrate the occasion and to draw attention to the unique gift of choral and organ music, bells were rung in cathedrals and churches throughout the United Kingdom during the weekend of 24-26th June.
Our thanks and appreciation to all FCM members as they celebrate this year.
